Garden Village has been a wonderful place for my mum. The staff are genuinely kind, caring, and compassionate, and they treat every resident with dignity and respect. The variety of activities each week keeps everyone engaged, active, and smiling. It means so much to our family knowing Mum is safe, well cared for, and surrounded by such wonderful people. Thank you to the amazing team for everything you do.

A big thank you from Daphne and myself for putting on the movie this afternoon. We both thought we had seen it before, but were wrong! The set up in the hall and the excellent snacks bar made for an enjoyable experience, we hope that all the others enjoyed it as much as we did.

It’s a BIG decision to move from your private home. We did so four months ago and are in awe of how spoiled we feel since moving to what we think is the best Retirement Village in the area – Garden Village. The friendly staff hold many events and activities which are helping us to meet other residents and build friendships across the Village. We are starting to feel right at home 🙂

I love living at Garden Village. I enjoy all the activities, the team goes into a lot of effort to make GV a great place to live. There was so much frivolity at the Virtual Voyagers program with homemade boats at the Cascades. It had me in tears of laughter. The program with local students was wonderful to be part of. Another highlight was the Dolphin Cruise on the Hastings River. There is always lots to do, I am very happy living here.

I provide physiotherapy services for Garden Village residents and consistently hear wonderful feedback about the village and its services. It’s a privilege to support the health and wellbeing of residents and home care clients through Thurgood Physiotherapy Clinic. They often tell me they have everything they need right on their doorstep — and they highly recommend Garden Village to others.

Lovely place for my mum to be. Activities, bus outings for lunch, scenic drives. Movie and ice cream afternoons. Mum has settled in very well and getting to know the residents. Lovely gardens to sit and relax also.  Food is plentiful. Great to see her getting to know residents.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sue Reid while helping my 85-year-old mother take the next step in her life. Sue and the entire team were incredibly kind, supportive, and helpful throughout the process. They made everything feel easy and reassuring for both of us.

The Cascades are a calm and peaceful place to live. They are well maintained and good value. I find my fellow residents welcoming and friendly. I value the way my application to live in Garden Village was handled. It was a very stressful time for me, moving house after 20 years and the support I received from village management was very much appreciated.

As a newish resident I love living in this safe, well maintained village atmosphere. As in all things, it is what you make it. I’m never leaving.

This place feels like a real community! It’s not often that you see the CEO of an organisation connecting with the people on the ground and knowing their stories. Community engagement is something this place does well. They provide unique opportunities such as Intergenerational programs with local high school students and virtual reality travel. IWould highly recommend!

This place is awesome. They treated our dad with the upmost level of respect and high standard of care. He died in the best circumstances possible supported by caring health professionals with high capability. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

I have lived here in Garden Village for almost 7 years. My husband and I agree, this is the best move we have ever made. It is a great place to live. We love being part of this caring community and have taken on a new lease of life by being active participants in the Garden Village Lifestyle.

I moved in 10 months ago to retirement lifestyle at ‘The Banksia’ and really am liking my choice. The apartment is like a five star hotel with all ‘mod cons’ and it is now my new home. Besides having two cafes and gyms, and a pool, Garden Village is convenient to all the necessary facilities of Port Macquarie. These include doctors, dentists, chemists, shopping centers, clubs.

Garden Village is a great place to call home. The staff are always friendly and attentive to all our concerns and needs. Residents are free to join in activities which are held on a regular basis, which allows for new friendships to be created. The facilities here are amazing, with cafes, restaurant, shop, hairdresser, hydro pool and much more. The emergency call buttons in each unit, and 24hour care gives a great sense of security knowing that help is always there if needed. It’s a safe secure place to live close to the town centre. I would recommend Garden Village to anyone looking for their “forever home” to retire to.
