Garden Village Masterplan for the future
Garden Village Expands Campus for Age-Friendly Living
Planning for the future
For 44 years, Garden Village has proudly offered high-quality aged care and popular retirement living options for seniors in the Port Macquarie Hastings area.
With 30% of Port Macquarie’s population over the age of 65 and Australia’s population aged 85+ expected to triple in the next 40 years, there is a community need to develop age-friendly neighbourhoods that are accessible and supportive.
Community Engagement
As planning progresses, Garden Village will engage with the community to inform the process and the concept MasterPlan. While we’re excited about the future, these plans are still in the early stages, with no development scheduled for several years. There will be no immediate changes for residents. We’ll keep residents and families informed every step of the way, ensuring that any future updates are thoughtfully planned with minimal disruption.
Planning for the future
Some of our original buildings, dating back four decades, are reaching the end of their usable lifespan and no longer meet today’s standards or the evolving needs of our ageing community. Recognising the growing demand for high-quality homes and services for seniors in Port Macquarie, Garden Village is actively planning for the future.
A key milestone
To support future needs, Garden Village has acquired properties at 167 Gordon Street and 29 Garden Crescent. These additions allow for future expansion and improvements beyond our current footprint, ensuring we are prepared for the long-term needs of local residents. We’re committed to supporting seniors who wish to stay connected to the heart of their community, close to family, friends, and the vibrant attractions, shops, and clubs in the CBD.
Liberty Store and Wellbeing Hub
With the Concept MasterPlan in the early stages, Garden Village has initiated an opportunity to support a meaningful social enterprise led by Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Services. The Liberty Store and Wellbeing Hub empowers women to achieve independence as they recover and heal from domestic and family violence.
No immediate changes
Peace of mind for residents
Garden Village is dedicated to maintaining a peaceful, supportive atmosphere. Concept Plans are in the early planning stages, and construction will not start for several years, ensuring no immediate changes to residents’ living spaces. Our team will keep residents and families informed every step of the way.
