Reflecting on our community connections
With the recent opening of The Banksia we herald a new era at Garden Village. It is timely to reflect on the history of the organisation and the memories of people who have called Garden Village home. Did you know, Garden Village has provided nursing care and support to the community for an incredible 43 years.
We’ve always worked alongside the community to meet the needs of local people as we age. In recent times we have:
- Embraced the NDIS to extend our services to people over 18 with disabilities
- Created partnerships to deliver upgrades to residences for 21st-century living
- Looked to the future for innovative ways to meet the needs of the community
As a registered not for profit our responsibility to care for the people of the Greater Port Macquarie region is where we do our greatest good. Our team shares the same goal – to provide high quality, person centred inclusive support for daily living.
All our relationships are nurtured with good communication, trust, compassion and care and we encourage informed decision making to support people to live a good life.
