One bedroom short stay accommodation is available for retirement living resident families and friends at The Banksia. The accommodation is brand new and gives people the opportunity to visit loved ones and discover Port Macquarie year round and during the busy holiday season.

Nestled along the picturesque coastline of New South Wales, Port Macquarie is a charming town, known for its pristine beaches, rainforests, and vibrant community. Here’

  1. Scenic coastal foreshore: Port Macquarie offers a stunning coastline with sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. Take leisurely strolls along the iconic Breakwall and Coastal Walk, and enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and opportunities for whale watching. Town Beach and Flynns Beach are both patrolled during the summer season. The walk from Westport Park to Town Beach is wheelchair accessible.
  2. Historical Charm: For history enthusiasts, Port Macquarie’s rich heritage adds an extra layer of fascination. The Maritime Museum and the Port Macquarie Historical Museum provide insights into the town’s history. The Port Macquarie Museum is situated in the heart of Port Macquarie, a short walk from the picturesque Hastings River. This central location makes it easily accessible for seniors. The museum is wheelchair accessible and has fascinating educational stories about our local history. 
  3. The Koala Hospital and Sea Acres Rainforest Centre: The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital and the Sea Acres Rainforest Centre both have cafes onsite to enjoy a bite to eat in a picturesque setting as well as spotting a koala or experiencing the wildlife along the accessible rainforest boardwalk.
  4. Local Restaurant: Port Macquarie’s dining scene offers a diverse range of eateries and experiences. From waterfront seafood restaurants to cosy cafes with local produce and great coffee. The town’s farmers’ markets are a great place to purchase farm fresh produce and meet the friendly locals.
