March will bring colour, connection and a touch of creativity to Garden Village, with a series of vibrant activities designed to celebrate community life and the NSW Seniors Festival. Residents are asked to register at reception.
Hello Koala Selfies – 2 March – 16 March
Residents, families, staff and visitors are invited to drop by reception throughout March to snap a selfie with our friendly Hello Koala. It is a simple and joyful way to share a smile, capture a memory and celebrate our village spirit. Be sure to tag your photos and spread the cheer across our community.
Butterfly Outdoor Mural Activation

Outdoors near Maintenance Sheds
We are delighted to welcome mural artist Bradley Collins to Garden Village for a special outdoor mural activation. Bradley will collaborate with our community to create a large-scale mural featuring the butterfly motif. The mural will honour past residents while celebrating the vibrant spirit of those who call Garden Village home today. Residents are encouraged to watch the artwork unfold across the day and see creativity in action.
Free Sausage Sizzle BBQ
Thanks to a NSW Seniors Festival grant, we are hosting a free sausage sizzle BBQ for residents and guests.

Live Entertainment Duo Musicians Ruby Blunt– 11.00am
Enjoy a lively performance by Ruby Blunt, bringing music and energy to the morning’s festivities. RubyBlunt are a harmony-driven duo breathing new life into familiar songs, blending crowd-pleasing covers, hidden gems, and originals.
Virtual Voyagers
1.30pm – 2.45pm | Community Centre
Students and seniors will step into the worlds of Monet and Van Gogh through immersive virtual reality experiences as part of our Virtual Voyagers program. This engaging session invites residents to explore art and culture in a unique and interactive way. In the Craft Room, invited participants and visiting students will also enjoy a special “Paint a Koala” activity, adding another creative highlight to the day.
There will be a wonderful photo opportunity with the Hello Koala and the new butterfly mural, a perfect keepsake from a memorable community celebration.
Premier’s Gala Concert – Live Stream

To conclude a full day of celebration, residents can enjoy a live stream of the Premier’s Gala Concert from the comfort of our Community Centre.
