Garden Village residents are benefiting from a new digital tool that helps staff better understand, assess and respond to pain to support improved comfort, wellbeing and quality of life.
Thanks to the generous fundraising efforts of the Garden Village Auxiliary, the PainChek® app has now been introduced into our aged care community, providing an innovative way to monitor pain, particularly for residents who may find it difficult to communicate their discomfort.
PainChek is a clinically recognised pain assessment tool that uses smart technology to assist carers and nurses in identifying signs of pain through facial cues and behavioural indicators.
This supports earlier intervention, more personalised care planning and better outcomes for residents.
