Garden Village Port Macquarie has partnered with Mid Coast Connect to host Work Placement students for over 20 years. Within the last 10 years we are proud to have hosted over 70 students, assisting them with their learning and HSC achievement.
Students studying Business Services, Hospitality and Human Services from multiple schools in the Port Macquarie area have benefited.
After pausing our participation in the program due to Covid safety protocols, we are thrilled to be back on board hosting students from the local community.
Human Resources Manager Lucinda Taylor said ‘I’m passionate about helping individuals find their employment pathways by creating, supporting and partnering with organisations such as Mid Coast Connect to offer this experience.’
Program Manager for Mid Coast Connect, Sandra Slattery said ‘Employers like Garden Village are like gold! Without support from our employers, students would not be able to complete the work placement hours required to complete their Higher School Certificate and further studies.’
