Hydrotherapy Pool – a swimtastic asset
Garden Village is thrilled to offer free classes at the Hydrotherapy Pool this March for the NSW Seniors Festival. People over 60 who live in Port Macquarie Hastings can hop online to register. Be quick spots are limited.
The GV hydrotherapy pool is one of only 3 in the region. It first opened in 1986 and recently received a full refurbishment thanks to a NSW Government grant. We officially opened the pool again in March 2023. Leslie Williams MP joined Garden Village residents Peggy and Del to cut the ribbon.
Perfect temperature 33°C
One year later and the pool gets plenty of use. The maintenance team keeps the pool heated to a beautiful 33°C. The pool is open to all residents after an orientation by the RL team as well as access to the spa.
Free Social Swim Group for retirement living residents
There is a small group of social women who go twice a week for very light exercise and relaxation. Join them on Mondays and Thursdays between 1:30-2:30pm. Contact Sue Cocks through the retirement living team for information.
Aqua Aerobics $10 for residents
Aqua Aerobics Instructor Sue Montgomery offers six Aqua Aerobics Sessions a week. Residents $10 & Non-Residents $12. Contact Sue Montgomery on 0458 601 616 for bookings. Wait lists may apply.
Physio & Hydrotherapy
Garden Village Physio Dean Thurgood uses the pool for private physio and hydrotherapy classes to support people’s rehabilitation and exercise. You can access his services through Private/Self-funded, NDIS, Medicare, My Aged Care, DVA and Home Care Packages. Contact Dean 0422 852 807.
