Located in the coastal hub of Port Macquarie, Garden Village is currently seeking to employ a Billing & Accounts Receivable Officer.

About the role:

We are seeking a contemporary professional to look after our Billing & Accounts Receivable functions as part of the Finance Team. The successful candidate will ideally have an accounts receivable background in health, not for profit or aged care. As the Billing & Accounts Receivable Officer you will provide quality customer service to our residents and be focused on reviewing and improving processes whilst maintaining accurate and compliant records.

This is a Permanent Part Time role up to 65 hours per fortnight.

Responsibilities include:

  • Entering new and updating existing resident information including changes to fees in line with government issued information
  • Processing invoices/credits/adjustments
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that all resident documentation is complete in accordance with legislative standards and organisation policies and procedures.
  • Maintain system setup for changes in fees, prices, accommodation structures
  • Ensure refunds are performed in accordance with legislation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monthly statement processing
  • Processing of direct debits, receipts
  • Attend to and resolve resident account enquiries in a professional manner
  • Follow up overdue fees
  • Maintain debtor account and ledger reconciliations

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Strong Billing and Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience in the aged care sector
  • High level of computer skills including Billing Systems and Microsoft Office (word, outlook and excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new operational systems and processes
  • Demonstrated process improvement skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, time management and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Certificate IV in Business (desirable)
